How to Make Chocolate Leaves
I remember my mum making chocolate leaves when I was little. She used lemon leaves, which are most commonly used. Lemon leaves are perfect, but for this time of year, I wanted something a little more fall. These are so simple and beautiful.
Organic non-toxic leaves, washed and dried
one bag of chocolate chips
small paintbrush
shimmer dust (optional and found in the baking section of craft stores)
Melt chocolate at 15 second intervals in the microwave until just melted. Paint chocolate onto leaves and place chocolate side up on a baking sheet or tray. Be sure to paint a thick enough coat so that the chocolate won't break when hardened. Cool in refrigerator until completely hardened. Peel real leaf off chocolate. Paint with shimmer dust.
