Strawberry Frozen Yogurt

I love using the ice cream maker. I do not love whisking eggs into a custard-y mixture over the stove and then cooling for hours before using it. Frozen yogurt is much easier and healthier. I got the best strawberries from Fairview Gardens.

Here is my easy Frozen Yogurt Recipe:

1 27 oz. low-fat plain yogurt
1 1/2 cups sliced strawberries
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
agave nectar to taste, or other sweetener

Toss strawberries with sugar in a bowl and let macerate for 20 minutes. Or, if you're too impatient for that, put the the bowl in the microwave for 30 seconds. Mash strawberries with a fork. Whisk yogurt, vanilla, strawberries, and agave nectar. Freeze according to ice cream maker instructions. Transfer to a freezable container and freeze for a few hours (not too long, or it will be rock hard).
